When we first started the wedding planning process, nothing made JiT and I more fearful than these two words: Wedding Videographer.
We really had no interest in a wedding video but my parents, fresh off of my younger sister's wedding and still regularly watching her 8-hour docu-drama as if it were Charles and Di all over again, were insistent. JiT and I scoured the web in search of a suitable vendor and, initially, the more we looked, the more horrified we became. If we had to have a video, we wanted something classy and timeless, like the nifty old silent film my parents shot at their wedding. Lucky for us, it turns out that Super 8 film -- the vintage film stock our parents used to shoot with -- is making a comeback on the wedding circuit.
After much searching, JiT stumbled upon the website for InFilms and we fell in LOVE. These guys have a real knack for editing the grainy, vintage looking film and pairing it with funky, ethereal music selections that really spoke to us. Tony (the owner) is incredibly easy to work with and, compared to the handful of other vendors we found offering Super 8, these guys are pretty reasonably priced.
JiT and I were so excited about our vintage wedding film that my parents dug out their old Super 8 camera so that we can document the rest of our engagement and honeymoon with a similar film style! I'm ready for my closeup...

OH WOW! What a fantastic idea! I LOVE it - because - my fiance and I - we too HATE the whole idea of a cheesy wedding video - that is going to be so beautiful. I may just have to take that idea and put it in my back pocket...
