But in the meantime, there is so much stuff to think about. Stuff that really doesn't matter all that much, but it does. Like whether we asked the caterer to rent a table for the unity candle. Like should I get my junior bridesmaid the same fancy gift as all the other bridesmaids, or something else. Like, not knowing what to do when I chose silver kitten heels for my bridesmaids to wear so they would all match and be comfortable...and then find out half of them would prefer 3 inch heels. Do I care? Not really...but the girls stuck in short shoes probably will.
Like I said. Stuff.
The good news is that we're making progress. The invitations are nearly ready to be printed. I'm hoping to give you guys a preview soon -- they were designed by a good friend of ours...a genius who designs and prints wedding stationery (if you're ever in need, shoot her an email). Our wedding bands arrived, we've chosen the scripture readings for our ceremony, JiT picked out tuxedos for the groomsmen. I'm having my final dress fitting and hair/makeup trial this coming weekend. So, really, we're ahead of the game.
But still, here I sit. Tick, tock, tick, tock.

That's so exciting that its getting that close!! I couldn't imagine all the planning and details that are going through your head. Try to relax and enjoy knowing that in 77 days, you'll officially be married!:-)
Hey!! Who is doing your wedding make up?? Our friend, Renee, is amazing! She did make up for Andrea and Nicki's wedding.
As much as I love drooling over your food posts, I gotta admit, a wedding post gets me up and willing to comment. =) Here are my thoughts ...
1) See if your caterer can use one table for the unity candle and something else later in the evening. Ours did and it worked out magically.
2) A junior bridesmaid is different than a regular one. A different gift is totally appropriate.
3) Too late to care about the bridesmaids. Tell them to wear the kitten heels for the ceremony and pictures and let them bring their own uber high heels for the reception!
And I'm pretty sure the woman who did my make-up for the wedding is the same woman Megan is talking about above (and the same woman who did Elle Michelle's make-up for her wedding) ... and she's really amazing. I was in love with my make-up, but my mom? Holy cow ... between that and her hair, she looked the best I've ever seen her look. Truly beautiful!
Ladies, thanks for all the great advise. In terms of my hair and makeup, I'm actually very lucky that my sister's SIL is an Aveda-trained stylist and MAC rep. She did my sister's hair/makeup for her wedding and has agreed to do mine as well. Though, if I didn't have her at the ready, I'd be very happy to contact your friend Renee. Judging by Nilsa and Elle Michelle's photos...she's very talented!
Are you still worrying about those damn shoes? Stop!!!! Nobody cares. They are gonna look great!
