Every year I get great joy out of putting together Easter Baskets for the kids. Its so much fun to fill their baskets with a few fun toys and sweet treats, including these super Easy Oreo Bunny Pops, dipped in white chocolate with a surprise sandwich cookie hidden in the center.
The first time I made these, I used a now-discontinued kit from Wilton to assemble these Easy Oreo Bunny Pops. Since I’d like to make them again without the benefit of the kit, I had to get a little bit creative. The main part of the bunny’s face can be made using a generic flat circle cookie/candy lollipop mold, but I needed a replacement for the cardboard bunny ears. I made a simple template that can be printed on card stock, cut out and hole punched to thread onto the lollipop sticks.
Instead of traditional chocolate Oreos, this year I’m thinking we’ll try one of the zillion other flavors Oreos come in these days (birthday cake flavor, anyone?). Heck, they’re so fun to make I think I may forgo putting them in the Easter baskets and let the kids help me. I have a feeling they’ll enjoy making Easy Oreo Bunny Pops even more than egg decorating!
